Nomads CC registered a big loss to Olten CC in Cricket Switzerland Premier League match played on Sunday, 7 August.
Nomads CC won the toss and elected to bat first only to lose Asvin in the second over caught at gully off the bowling of Malyar. The next two batsmen Miskeen and Hassan also fell to the guile and trickery of Malyar and soon Nomads found themselves at 3/40. Captain Faheem Nazir was then excellently caught by Malyar off the bowling of Perumal who was having a great day in the field. This sparked a collapse among the middle order of Nomads CC leaving them reeling at a disappointing score of 78/10.
With only 79 to chase, Olten CC tried to attack the bowling of Nomads CC. Skipper Faheem Nazir was outstanding with the ball picking up 5/33 giving the fielding team a glimmer of hope. Despite his heroic efforts, Olten CC won the game comfortably by 5 wickets. A disappointing loss in a big game but as they say it is not over yet. Nomads CC will be looking to bounce back with back-to-back premier league games scheduled for 13/14 August.
